The Citi mtvU Platinum Select Visa Card for College Students is issued by Citibank and is for students, offering a unique program that rewards the cardholder for sensible credit use and achievement of good grades.
The rewards program earns customers points for purchases made at bookstores, restaurants, music stores and theaters. Points are redeemed for gift cards, music, a VIP mtvU Spring Break Pass, tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards, and airline tickets. There is a maximum that can be earned per year and points expire in five years if not used.
Other benefits include auto rental insurance, travel accident insurance and a discount on purchases made at the MTV online store and at the MTV New York City Store. There is no annual fee and a 0% introductory rate is offered on all transactions in the first six months.
